Welcome to Smedsede farm!

Smedsede farm by the lake Gennarbyviken.
Smedsede is a medium large farm located by the lake Gennarbyviken in Ekenäs (Raseborg)
in western Uusimaa. Smedsede farm has a very long history.
The oldest map that we know of is from 1547. The current main house is built in 1735, but it is standing on the same stone foundations as the previous house (that burned in 1731). The foundation is probably built in 1600th century. Next to the main house stands a smaller house which is from the end of the 1700th century.
The main source of income is from agriculture, as well as timber sales and cottage rentals. We handle the forest ourselves. We sell some of the timber, but we also saw timber for sale on our blocksaw. Mostly we make ordinary boards and planks. We have two rental cottages, a simple one for two people and one well equipped cottage for six people. Other services we provide are snow plowing etc in the neighborhood.
On the farm lives Patrik Lundberg, Annette Ström and our daughters Isabelle and Michelle.
